No dry socket, but dr put medpack in just in case. told its ok to leave in next 4 dys. is this ok? will it hurt when removed monday? it hurt going in.

Socket prevention: Your dentist packed the medical dressing that promotes healing. Discomfort and other symptoms should continue to improve over the next few days. Complete healing typically goes smoothly and generally takes about 10 to 14 days.

Follow: Follow your surgeon's instructions. Do not remove the packing yourself. Give it the opportunity to do it's job. Out is easier than in.

Listen to your Dr.: Placing a packing as a preventative dressing is not unusual and you should follow all instructions. Do not sip drinks through a straw and swish with an antibacterial rinse, if recommended.
