PPI: Take an otc ppi like Prilosec or Prevacid (lansoprazole) daily until you can be seen.

Go to ER now: Bleeding ulcer ( GI bleeding ) is a life threatening emergency, immediately go to your nearest er, immediate gastroscopy and treatment . You do not need your insurance company approval for this.

No easy answer: If you continue vomiting blood or having large black bm's it should be done now, go to the er . If you see no blood or black bm's and are not more pale or get dizzy, it may not be an emergency. The longer away from the bleed the less likely they will be able to give you a reason for it. As mentioned Omeprazole will decrease the gastric acidity and sooth and possibly heal the ulcer over time.
