Yes: When you have peptic ulcer disease it is helpful to know what the cause is such as medication like advil (ibuprofen) or Motrin or a bacteria called h. Pylori among other rarer causes. Additionally you should confirm that the ulcer has healed by having a repeat endoscopy after taking proper medication.

Yes: If your G.I. doctor recommends an endoscopy, he or she must feel that the procedure will provide some kind of informational or therapeutic benefit for treating your peptic ulcer disease. If you continue to have symptoms, you should go for it. Good luck.
