Hearing loss on right side. had mri scan. what are the different illnesses that can cause this please? i would just like to know possible causes.

Here are a few: Number one and MOST COMMON is NOISE damage (for example if you shoot firearms and do not use Hearing Protection. Unilateral nerve damage can alseo be INFECTIOUS in nature, viral and bacterial EAR infections (=Otitis). A benign tumor (Acoustic Neuroma) can cause hearing loss but the MRI most likely rules out that Diagnosis. Hope this helps An ENT( Ear Nose Throat) /Audiologist Consultation is next
