More info: Hi. You're a human, not a pig. Why do you want desiccated porcine thyroid extract? You're on the lowest dose of l-thyroxine available. What is your TSH stabilized on this dose? If your dose isn't right, don't blame the fact it's chemically pure human thyroid hormone, blame the DOSE. Pig thyroid is OK, and it was all we had, we'd ALL be prescribing it. But we DO have purer, better stuff. Good luck!
