If caught early: Throat cancer is curable if caught early enough. Unfortunately many patients present at an advanced stage. Symptoms involve the sinuses, ears, throat,and voice box: PERSISTENT: sore throat, laryngitis, earache,sinus congestion, difficulty swallowing,bleeding in mouth, painless ulcers or sores in mouth or numbness. Alcohol in excess and tobacco are major causes. Others: include HPV 16 virus.
