An impossible ?: All opioid drugs, when given in equivalent doses, are equally effective in most people. Some may be more effective in some people for some kinds of pain, and some may be better tolerated than others in some people. Depends on the kind of pain, the dose given, and the specific biology of the person. Methadone and Nucynta (tapentadol) may be more effective against neuropathy pain than the others in some people.
