A member asked:

If adenosine help to treat heart issues, why was it used to "stress" my heart during cardiac mra?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different doses: Adenosine dilates blood vessels (which is the basis of its use for stress testing - it can show a "steal" away from a blocked artery) and it slows conduction thru the AV node (the basis of terminating certain arrhythmias). Beyond those 2 uses, it doesn't otherwise "treat heart issues".
