Wisdom tooth: if you had a surgical extraction then some swelling is normal. Use ice packs to help control this. Call the extracting dentist about your concerns. They best know your situation.

The healing process: Swelling, pain and jaw stiffness may persist for 7 -14 days. A limited mouth opening may persist for up to two weeks. This is a normal reaction to surgery.
