I had wisdom tooth removed 2-1/2 days ago. the gum is swelling now, and there is a patch of white tissue near where the hole is. is this normal?

Needs to be seen: This requires a personal clinical exam and evaluation by the dentist who removed your tooth and cannot be answered accurately, sight unseen. A description over the internet is inadequate to make that determination.

Might be ok: Sometimes the swelling can be from the suture material and will resolve when the stiches come out. After 3 days the white might be the tissue starting to grow over the clot. All normal. Pain would be an indication that there is a problem
