Tongue: If you think you are having an allergic reaction to something, take a benadryl (diphenhydramine) and go to the ER. If its been going on for awhile, it may be that you are chewing on the sides of your tongue and cheeks. If thats the case, gargling and ibuprofen will help but you need to see your dentist

Swollen tongue: It's impossible to make an accurate diagnosis and recommended treatment without a clinical examination and additional information. See your dentist or an oral surgeon, especially if the symptoms last longer than 7-10 days.
