A member asked:

What would a bone marrow biopsy show? they ruled out cancer already.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends,,: it depends on what it was done for. It could be to check on a precancerous condition of the blood like myelodysplastic syndrome or to see if the blood cell lines are sufficient in quantity but this is an extreme test only to be done if other tests are inconclusive or ominous. If cancer had been ruled out, there likely isn't a need for it. See your doctor to find out more info.. Good luck.
