Dysgeusia: Dysgeusia is a distortion of the sense of taste. You are reporting ability to taste some flavors. It is likely that you may have lost sense of ability to detect some odors. Its not central (brain), its peripheral (tongue) because you have partial sensation. Its possible that viral neuronitis damaged some taste nerves, only careful testing can detect it. It may also be due to anxiety and depression
