Yes: Because with whole fruits and veggies, you get the fiber which results in less consumption and quicker satiety (fullness). Smoothies have more sugar from the fruits and veggies due to more being used to make the smoothie. Plus, most smoothies have added ingredients like sugars, syrups, powders, etc - unless you make it yourself.
