A member asked:

Dry, coughing spasms - do not have asthma. what can be done to relieve the cough (not drink a whole bottle of water)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doctor: There could be a number of causes of frequent coughs. You may have allergies. You may have cough-variant asthma (not everyone with asthma has wheezing). You could have an infection. In the meantime, do drink plenty of fluids. Honey can be good for helping your cough (has been proven more effective than OTC cough meds). A humidifier at night may help also.
