Recently started 5 mg of lisinopril. lately throat is very dry makes me cough. i drink a lot of water. the cough could be side effect but can the med cause the dry throat as well? i dont think its a cold?

You may think you are coughing because of dry throat but it is not, the cough is likely due to Lisinopril's adverse effect. Dry mouth or throat does not cause cough. If you stop Lisinopril, the cough will resolve after 2 weeks, may be earlier because of recent use. Your doctor can try a different medication which is not in ACE inhibitor group..
