A member asked:

I am scheduled for open biopsy of lymph nodes in left side of my neck. they r small m don't hurt but been there for 9 months. good decision??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Suit yourself: If they're stable, reasonably sized, and not attached to something that they shouldn't be, your neck nodes are no different from anybody else's. If you're obsessing that they might be cancer, it's you business. If somebody's pushing you to have a biopsy, get a second opinion. Or perhaps even palpate the node regions on a few of your friends and learn the range of normal.
