See A Doctor NOW: If your 14 month old has not been seen by a physician, you must do so NOW. Procrastination puts your son at risk of developing more serious and life-threatening illness. If you have seen a doctor, you must provide more information about his illness before your question can be answered; eg. duration, fever, cough, & more. Again, if your son has not seen a doctor - GO NOW to regular doctor or to ER.

Talk to his...: ..Pediatrician. The flu is a viral illness and will typically resolve on its own. Supportive treatment is advised (increasing fluid intake, acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever or pain -- AVOID ASPIRIN). However, there may be complications of flu, so you should speak to your pediatrician and let he or she know what's going on specifically and to see if your son needs to be seen in the office.
