Depends: Tamiflu is approved for kids that age & rarely if ever use it unless the kid is hospitalized. It is rarely effective if started more than 48 hrs after symptoms start. It also has a wide range of disturbing side effects seen more commonly in young kids. Most care is directed at comfort & assuring fluid intake. If the kid has any difficulty breathing at any point he should be seen.
