Cannot tell: There are a number of reasons why your upper arm may hurt. If it is only one arm, it is most likely not fibromyalgia which involves more widespread areas of the body. It could be a problem with your shoudler, neck or an internal organ. The best thing would be to go see your doctor for an examination.

See your PCP: There is no way to make a diagnosis based on the information. A diagnosis of fibromyalgia requires pain in all four quadrants of the body (above and below the waist and on the right and left sides).
