I just had a colonoscopy and have been diagnosed with sigmoid diverticular disease and the doctor also found a 3cms cytic/mucinous lesion in my colon?

Discuss with doctor: If the doctor biopsied the lesion, you should discuss the findings with him. In general, colonic lesions found at colonoscopy should be removed.

Diverticulosis: Diverticuli are small pouches in your intestine. When stool gets stuck in there it can become painful - diverticulitis. The 3cm lesion needs to be biopsied for things such as cancer or pre cancer. Please see your doctor for more answers.
