Hepatitis B: If you have NOT been vaccinated for Hepatitis B, it is possible to get a hep B infection from dried blood since it is a fairly strong virus and can live outside the body for many hours. You can't get HIV, Herpes, or other STDs from dried blood. That is why all health care workers and first responders are usually required to get Hep B vaccinations before they start work.
