Wrong calculatiions : The HIV antibody negative period (the "window") is no more than 3 mo (More recent and sensitive testing can make it 1 month). The RNA HIV test is much more expensive but can detect HIV in a matter of a fe days- weeks. I would review the last 6 months and determine if you were at risk for getting HIV within the last 3 momths .
