A member asked:

Is it possible to have hiv not testing positive because the current hiv assay is not able to pick it up or the body do not produce antibodies at all.exposed 10months ago,neg 4 gen hiv test & pcr rna hiv1 a week ago. physical symptoms too many. hiv2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV nucleic test does not depend on antibodies and a negative result at 6 months after exposure rules out HIV. It would be prudent to see a doctor to evaluate your symptoms. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
