A member asked:

Hiv 4th generation test 22 months (1 year 10 months) after exposure. test was reactive. hiv antibodies not confirmed. hiv 1 rna not detected. hiv 2 follow up test negative. no exposure since tests. am i hiv negative? should i be tested again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You have provided internally contradictory information. If the test result was reactive, that does not comport with the other information than no HIV antibodies nor HIV RNA was detected. It would be prudent to talk to the doctor who ordered the test.
