Turf toe sprain: Were casting and surgery involved? Usually I tell patients with sprains that they may take longer than a fracture to heal or over 6 weeks, especially if reinjury occurs. Think about what might be causing repeat injury and see your othopedic specialist or podiatrist for follow up. http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/turf-toe-symptoms-causes-and-treatments?page=2

Yes: You should see your local Podiatrist for an evaluation to rule out a sesamoid fracture. Also physical thereapy is in order and can be effective in helping the healing process.
