Diagnosed with crohn's after finding ulcer in ileum. isn't this a misdiagnosis, and in fact ulcerative ileitis?

Crohns disease: can cause ulcer any where in the gastrointestinal tract. so ulcer in the ileum is most likely Crohn,s . they should have taken biopsy which would confirm the diagnosis

Crohn's vs. Ileitis: A biopsy may be required to establish the diagnosis. It can be difficult to distinguish the two otherwise. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15017486
