My son cut his thumb by sticking it in a soda can last night. its a fairly deep cut, should he still be experiencing some intermittent bleeding?

Laceration: HI The bleeding should stop by now, unless the wound is not covered and he keeps on injuring it or scratches it. Suturing is usually done in the fresh wound. Please keep the area clean, you may apply topical antibiotic, apply pressure if the bleeding noted. If bleeding does not stop after 5 minutes of pressure then get him seen.
