UTI symptoms ?: At menopause, the decreased or absent levels of estrogen can make the vaginal area lose its mucous layer protection. Tight clothing or intercourse can irritate the area and cause urinary tract inflammation, giving rise to the symptoms you describe. Get a test from your healthcare provider to be certain. Severe urinary infections can be serious.
