How can i help with my wife's menopausal lack of sleep?just finished chemo for ovarian cancer couple mo. ago and had a hysterectomy back in march.

By taking to the doc: Give support to her lack of sleep may be due to anxiety, due to her cancer, which is not unusual, speak to her may need medications .She may even need help , you may have to take her to a psychiatrist., it is part of treatment.

Make sure she follows good sleep hygiene and that she does not spend a lot of time in bed. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a great treatment for insomnia and may help cope with the other issues

Ovarian cancer: The main non-hormonal treatments of menopausal symptoms are Effexor (venlafaxine), Neurontin (gabapentin) and clonidine. Many gyn oncs would also use oral estrogen by itself to treat symptoms.
