Between 74-81%.: The answer partly depends on whether your Mom has Stage IIA or IIB breast cancer. But it's even more complicated than that. In some ways, it is good that your Mom has HER-2 positive breast cancer, as there are several new excellent drugs that are now available that significantly improve survival. If your mother hasn't had surgery yet, she could be treated with IV Herceptin, Perjeta (pertuzumab) + chemo.
