Your mom's disease: May be , random incident , if more of your family members are affected you are at a higher risk ( genetic ) other wise your risk is like any woman so is contraceptives has slightly higher risk. At 17 don't worry about all these, have healthy life style see your doctors for regular check ups you will be fine.
