On my mom's side of the family, out of 10 people(cousins, aunts, uncles, etc) 4 got cancer after 50-two leukemia, 1 breast, 1 colon, is this strong?

Significant, but...: Factor in a few issues: age/comorbidities of the individuals involved, occupational exposure, environmental (e.g. Live near smoke stacks), overall state of health maintenance & lifestyle (e.g. Heavy smokers, drinkers?). Now note that of the relatives you mentioned, many are not related by first generation. Yes, there is an increased predilection, but cancers mentioned don't fit a cancer syndrome.
