My chest xray result is - suspicious apical densities. what does this mean?

Many things: Could be old scarring from prior infection, could be acute tuberculosis, could be cancer. I don't have enough information to go further. Why was the xray taken? What did your doctor say?

Top of Lung Bright: "Apical " refers to the the top of the lungs. There is a right and left apex ,one for each lung. "Density "refers to how bright or white a structure appears on a X-ray study. Denser an object the more it blocks the X-ray beam and brighter it will look on the study. There are many cases for a dense object in the apex of the lungs and usually requires some sort of follow up.

Non specific: Suspicious apical densities usually means some density seen in apex of lung. Could be scarring and old disease or some active disease. I had previous xray exam the two can be compared if not changing probably old disease or scars. Of course infections, tumors, or atelectasis (volume loss are other possibilities. Ask your doctor for more specifics and whether further testing needed or followup.
