Depends on: how much energy or calories your were burning doing activities/exercise before and difference with your current level of activity. You could still maintain some form of exercise that dos not involve standing or using your foot.

Proper nutrition: It is more important to eat a balanced diet with the proper amounts of carbohydrates/protein/fats in order to allow proper healing. If you reduce your nutritional intake this could lead to poor healing of the skin or bone and take you longer to heal without complications.
