Only if`: you develop symptoms, such as post prandial pain, caused by something in your gallbladder, such as stones. Gallstones tend to run in families, and they commonly become symptomatic at age 40 or so.

No: You only need to consider taht if you start having gallstone-induced stomach pain. To prevent gallstones, eat more fruits like apples, pears & watermelon; eat more vegetables like carrots, broccoli and greens; use more whole grains & olive oil (monosaturated fats); drink plenty water, & avoid carbonated beverages & saturated fats. Get plenty exercise, and avoid obesity & rapid weight loss.
