Ankle exam needed: Bunin surgery and ankle pain, especially bilaterally should not be associated. You need an orthopoedic exam to determine why you have pain in both ankles

See your doctor: There can be a variety of reasons for these symptoms. See your surgeon for evaluation. It is not unusual to have some swelling and discomfort away from the surgical site due to favoring the feet. Have it evaluated. Dr. L
