A member asked:

Is losartan potassium tablets given for hypertension also a potassium supplement or are they two different medicines?

Potassium and Cozaar (losartan): The potassium (K) found in losartan (L) is a very minute amount and is not intended to be a K supplement. L does have the ability to elevate serum K levels, so supplementation of K by K chloride tablets may not be needed.
