With hypertension and hypokalemia what is the best potassium supplements?

Consider workup: Rather than asking about potassium supplements, the first thing i would make sure is there is no reversible causes or hypertension and hypokalemia. People with a genetic disorder that cause high aldosterone levels will lead to more sodium retention resulting in hypertension. Wehn sodium is absorbed, it dumps potassium. If an adenoma is causing this, it may be able to be removed and fix problem.

Potassium supplement: The best potassium (k) supplement depends on the BP meds you are taking. If you are taking only diuretics (d) to control your bp, you may have a low magnesium (m) and you may need both m and k supplements as d waste both m and k and your k will not improve until your m is normal. If you are not taking a d, speak to your physician (p) about your p about the patients who have hbp and low k.
