The hurting over left kidney area most likely results from the tension exerted on to the muscle and joints during sex, especially in some struggling to achieve orgasm. Besides, physical posturing during sex may play certain role in having postcoital muscle. If still bothering, seek pro-attention, evaluation, and counseling timely.
