Not contagious: Canker sores are not pleasant and can be painful and uncomfortable, they are not contagious. Do not confuse with a cold sore, which is normally on the outside of the mouth and usually are highly contagious.

Not: Canker sores are not contagious . Cold sores caused by HSV I are not contagious either since most of us have already been infected with this virus but only a small % people end up with cold sores.
