Can hiv infection cause petechiae after 5 months exposure ?

Get tested.: If you have any concern about HIV, get tested. Relying on symptoms is not a good way to diagnose HIV infection. The 4th generation test would be a reliable test.

Not necessarily, but: Petechiae are usually associated with a low platelet count. While long-term HIV infection can cause a variety of medical problems, petechiae is not a very common issue. When I see petechiae in an HIV patient, I usually get concerned about a condition called ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), which can occur in advanced HIV infection. However, there are other conditions that can cause this.
