Not necessarily: Usually when you have nerve damage, there is numbness, tingling, weakness, and even coolness present on the skin versus a warm feeling on the foot. If you have a 'hot' sensation and it persists for awhile and is not the same as your other foot, you should have it examined by your pediatrician and have a neurological check done by her/him too to look at this further.

Get evaluated: I suggest seeing a local Podiatrist for an evaluation and getting a Nerve Conduction Velocity test of the lower extremity which will determine if nerve compression exists. This compression can be as high as your lower back.
