My dad has been on donezepil for 2+ months but have only noticed short term memory getting worse. when does donezepil start working? also on zoloft (sertraline)

6 months: most studies look at outcomes at 6 months although you could see a benefit earlier. However, you should be aware that these types of medication only cause modest improvement in symptoms, and unfortunately do not prevent worsening of the disease.
