Cyst vs lipoma: A soft squishy bump on your scalp is most likely a lipoma, fatty tumor, or a cyst. Lipomas are non cancerous and don't need to be removed unless painful or enlarging. A cyst may need to be removed if painful, enlarging or infected. Many people have Wenn's cyst on the head which are also benign. Any doubt, get a consult with your physician. Good luck.
