Wait a week: It is somewhat dependent upon the dose you were taking but diazepam or valium has a long half life. It would be best to wait about a week after you stop all diazepam before drinking alcohol. If you were on it for more than a week you may need to taper off of it also.

Depends: Do you mean how long after you stop taking the diazepam can you drink alcohol? Depends. How long were you on it? The half life of the active metabolite of diazepam is about 100hrs. Normally want to give 4-5 half lives after last dose was given to assure no significant amount of med left in your system. 400-500 hours which is about 2.5- 3 weeks. Now if you took it longer then even more time.
