Possible stone: the blood in the urine can signify an infection, but also a stone. the back pain would also be present many times with a stone. Suggest drinking a lot of fluids, this may help with passage of stone, but also would be beneficial if it is an infection Visit to health care provider is also suggested as soon as possible.

Needs testing: Sorry about your mom.She needs to see a doctor to get radiographic imaging and possibly cystoscopy to find cause of bleeding. There are many possible causes. Please tell mom not to ignore it just because she can't see blood. The back pain suggests a kidney cause, stone or other causes.Best of health to mom.
