Time for the doctor: Urine should not have blood in it. A person with "quite a bit of blood" in her urine needs a doctor's evaluation. If one's primary care doctor is not available, her ob-gyn doctor may be able to help, or the E.R. Doctor certainly can help. There may be a urine infection or other problem in the kidneys, ureters, bladder, etc...
