Physically, no, even: though the symptoms can be frightening. Many people have only one or two panic attacks in their lifetimes. If yours recur & you worry about having another one, you may have Panic Disorder. Panic attacks also occur within the context of other psychiatric disorders. If yours recur & you do not seek treatment, you can develop specific phobis that cause harmful impact to your daily functioning.
