A member asked:

My urine analysis says the urine is clear but the cytology report says it's cloudy. i have only squamous and urothelial cells present. why is that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urinalysis: urinalysis does not detect squamous cells or urinary sediment. "Cloudy" urine is usually due to heavy urinary sediment if infection has been ruled out. This may be a result of incomplete voiding, inadequate fluid ingestion or medications precipitating out in your urine.
